rough drafts & notes
With my family's upcoming trip to the 150th Westminster Dog Show, one of my goals was to create a presentation brief to educate viewers on the general premise of the show as well as specific stats for the 2026 show.
In the design draft, my intentions for the "Winningest Groups" page was to use the rounded green rectangle to imitate the arena's green floor that the dogs would be paraded on.
Originally I had planned to use the ribbons awarded to the winners to indicate who was #1, #2, etc, but the varied colors for each ribbon drew more attention than the information I was trying to convey. I instead chose to use the yellow signs on the ground that usually display the breed name to denote the numerical placement of the groups.
For the representative dog of each group, I chose the most recent Best in Show winner from each group to add another piece of data within the chart.
